Fortunately, he was recording it so he (and we) can enjoy it.
Video’s description:
Previously unknown medical condition caused a crash on 4/2/2015. I have never passed out in 26 years, but suddenly passed out.
I can’t tell if the cruise control is struggling to keep up, or if his foot is on the pedal. Either way, that’s one scary-ass ride.
Glad he’s OK.

Holy crap, I thought for sure he was going to spear back onto the road going the wrong way. Also missed that pole by inches. Lucky dude for sure.

That could have been SO much worse D:
Really glad it wasn't.

The barbed wire holes in the canvas make me cringe for some reason.

I was on the edge of my seat once he started back towards the fence.
“please don’t go back into traffic, please don’t go back into traffic please...”

Me too.

Exactly. First was the narrow miss of the utility pole and then “OH NO! NONONONO!”

I don’t think it’s cruise control, because it’s supposed to automatically disengage when traction control kicks in (...do SN95 Mustang have T/C?).
Also, is it me or is that a weird placement for a dash cam?

So much buttclench. Thank God he had his roof up.

That is one determined cruise control. Mine would have given up LONG before.

Wow, didn’t know Mustangs were that boring to drive. In all seriousness though, my cousin has a similar condition and wasn’t as lucky the first time it happened to him.

According to some of his other videos, I see hints of an underlying condition.

A lot of people on FB were saying it was fake and insurance fraud. That's bravery if it is. I highly doubt it was, but people always want to have conspiracies.

Someone get this guy onto a rallycross course.

You can clearly see him turn the cruse control off near the start of the video. It is the bottom button on the left side of the steering wheel. Some but not all Mustangs of this style had T/C for those wondering. As for being an insurance scam I think if this were fake he’d have kept an eye on where he was going and would have likely crapped him self on seeing that pole. I bet he’d have aborted that mission and put his hands back on the wheel.

Like I know what those buttons do.
For all I know that’s how you set the snooze control.

how did he not completely fubar his plastic front bumper!?
![]() 05/08/2015 at 17:19 |

Pretty amazing how calm he was when he came to and took control of the car.

Why didn’t the airbag go off?
![]() 05/08/2015 at 17:34 |

Probably the same reason the bumper wasn’t destroyed.
I’m guessing those fence posts are pretty old.

Guy I work with fell asleep once and woke up with bushes and grass flying by, got lucky and didn’t hit anything.

Why does the DMV allow people who have epileptic seizures have a driving licence?

A friend of mine fell asleep while driving once solely from exhaustion. He remembers getting onto the onramp and next he wakes up driving along the concrete barrier in the median. He slipped across 3 lanes on a busy highway and managed to miss any other vehicle. His Cavalier had some gnarly damage on the driver side.
